History
There is evidence that the art existed in Egypt/Africa in 4000 BC. It is exemplified by the murals imprinted on the walls of the Egyptian tombs.

It then moved to India, then to China, then to the Ryukyu islands now known as Okinawa and the art was called Te, now known as karate, from the three cities of Naha, Shori, and Tomari. Their arts were called Naha-Te, Shori-Te, and Tomari-Te.

Naha-Te became known as Goju-Ryu, Shori-Te became known as Shori-Ryu, and Tomari-Te faded out. From Okinawa Goju-Ryu developed Japanese Goju Kai, from Japanese Goju Kai developed American Goju-Ryu, from American Goju-Ryu developed USA Goju-Ryu, from USA Goju-Ryu developed Nisei Goju-Ryu, and from Nisei Goju-Ryu developed NIseI Goju-Ryu Jiu Jitsu.
